A Guided Visit to Dossin Barracks

Join us on Sunday, February 10th , for a guided visit to the Dossin Barracks Memorial and Museum in Mechelen. The Dossin Barracks is a unique place for remembrance in Belgium. As an “SS Sammellager Mechelen” it was literally the antechamber of death for more than 25,000 Jews and gypsies during World War II. This brand-new museum was built in order to explain the historic significance of this location to current and future generations and to visualize themes such as racism, exclusion and human rights. This combination of human rights and the history of the Holocaust in Belgium makes the Dossin Barracks Memorial and Museum an unparalleled monument.
The guided tour will be followed by an optional no-host lunch at the Atrium restaurant (Onder den Toren 9 in Mechelen, near the Grote Markt).

Visit: €20 for ACB and AWCB members, €25 for non-members
Lunch will be paid by participants at the restaurant.

Cancellations are possible until noon on Wednesday, February 6. Participants canceling after this time, as well as no-shows, are charged the full cost of the event.
