SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

  • Brian Dunhill - Brian is a Financial Planner with a core emphasis on concentrated positions, and retirement planning for predominantly American Expatriates. Past positions have led him to work in many capacities for prestigious firms on Wall Street including UBS, Lehman Brothers, and A.G. Edwards. Working as an analyst, in compliance and as a Financial Advisor has given him the full perspective on the operations of a financial firm. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance with an International Business Background at the University of Central Florida and his Master in Business Administration from the Masagung School at the University of San Francisco. He has also received the Accredited Asset Management Certification from the College for Financial Planning and has sat for the Series 7,9,10,66 and insurance licenses in California and Florida. Brian is the former President of the American Club of Brussels, sits on the board of the Sharkey Foundation and on the Advisory Committee of the ACA.

  • Carl Mir - Carl is an accountant working within several corporations throughout his career. He has been involved in US income tax preparation and reporting for several years both at H R Block and independently. Carl lives to Belgium and is assisting the American expat communities throughout Europe. As a tax consultant for US expats, he can provide advice on filing requirements and compliance to the United States on tax and financial reporting issues. Assistance can be provided in order to become compliant and up-to-date with the IRS and the US Treasury. Carl received his Bachelor of Arts with in international relations and business from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.

  • Charles Bruce - Charles, Chairman, American Citizens Abroad Global Foundation and Legal Counsel, American Citizens Abroad, is an American tax attorney based in London and Lausanne. Formerly, he was Tax Counsel to the US Senate Finance Committee; Visiting Professor, Law Faculty, Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Finanz- und Steuerwesen, Hamburg University, Hamburg; Adjunct Professor of Law, Graduate Law Program, Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, DC. Charles won't be attending in-person but will give a virtual introduction of American Citizens Abroad.

  • Dave Deruytter - Dave is the Head of Expatriates, Non-residents & Privilegio at ING Belgium, the Belgian subsidiary of the ING Group, an international banking company. He joined BBL/ING in 1985 and has held a number of functions in different areas of international banking business. Dave is always up for a discussion on international mobility, creativity and entrepreneurship as well as Asia, where he lived and worked for 8.5 years.

  • Gregory Goossens - Gregory graduated in law in 2004 from the University of Antwerp and graduated in 2005 as a Master in Tax Law. After a short career as a tax consultant, he moved to become an attoney in 2006. Gregory is specialized in tax law, with a focus on negotiating with the tax authorities and defending clients' interests in tax disputes in court proceedings. He advises private individuals and companies on all aspects of taxation. His special attention and interest goes to international taxation and global mobility. He is registered at the Antwerp Bar. Gregory is also a lecturer in tax law at the Bachelor's degree course in Legal Practice in Antwerp. He speaks Dutch, French and English.

  • Nadine Irons - Nadine is a Director of Praemium International Limited based in Jersey. In her role as Sales and Relationship Manager she is responsible for generating new business for the International Platform and building trust built relationships with existing and new clients. After 13 years as Stockbroking Manager with Collins Stewart Wealth Management (later Canaccord Genuity) she gained valuable insights to Investments and Operations. Nadine will be presenting Praemium's platform and how their US Taxpayer Service enables US Persons to invest via SEC-regulated investment managers, whilst providing comprehensive, transparent tax reporting in accordance with the latest IRS requirements.
