ACB Annual General Meeting

Members are warmly invited to attend our Annual General Meeting at the historic Prince Albert Club. Ideally situated just off the Petit Sablon, the club's grand rooms and old world charm provide the perfect setting for the occasion.

From 18:00 - 18:45 enjoy a complimentary drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available) while reconnecting with fellow members before the formalities commence at 18:45 until 20:00.

During our Annual General Meeting, we will provide updates on the club's finances and operations, and we also need our members to approve our budget, ratify board members and other formalities - we would also appreciate any feedback you have.  Please note that associate members (Students, Non-resident and Honorary members) are welcome at the meeting and to give feedback, but can not officially vote at the meeting.

Your presence means a great deal to us, it helps us keep you informed about everything happening at the club while ensuring we meet our legal obligations as an ASBL - which requires that two thirds of our members are present.  If we do not meet that quorum, we will have to hold another Annual General Meeting to fufuil our legal obligations.  We appreciate you attending to be up to date on the club's affairs, and so we can meet our legal obligations.

The event is for members only and is free of charge.

Proxy:
If you can not make it this evening, please fill out a Proxy so we can count your vote that evening.  You can fill in this proxy and leave the person its assigned to blank, and we will assign it to someone that evening:  https://www.americanclubbrussels.org/resources/ACB_AGM%202026_Proxy_Bilingual.pdf

Parking:

The Prince Albert Club (military officers club of Belgium) has free parking immediately at the back side of the building.  Rue des Petits Carmes is a one way street and the building is on your left side of the street. The parking can be accessed a bit further down the street from the main door on the left side of the street - you will see very large wooden gates that are pulled back, drive in there and make an immediate, sharp left turn in the parking.  There is a sign called "Military Domain".  Do NOT go straight and drive into the residential apartment building area, you can not park there.   Once you are parked, walk to the end of the parking area (going away from the driveway entrance) and at the top of the path on your left side you will see a glass door where you can walk into the lobby.  Turn right, the reception desk is there and you can continue straight ahead up a very short flight of strairs to the Karmaliet room (do not go up the very ornate sweeping staircase on the left).

Transport options:

The Prince Albert Club (the military officers club of Belgium) is easily accessible by public transport.  If the main door at the front of the building (#20) is not open, you will need to walk around to the back of the building (go through the driveway which is a bit futher past the main door, on the left side of the street) and walk under the big archway, turn left immediately and walk through the gravelly parking area (marked Military Domaine) to the walkway which brings you to the glass back door on the left side of the path.  Walk into the lobby and turn right, go past the reception desk stright up a few stairs to the Karmaliet room.  (Do not go up the huge sweepingn staircase on the left side of the reception area).
