The American Overseas Memorial Day Association Foundation is inviting you to join Memorial Day in Belgium on Monday 25 May at 6pm (CET).
Every year on Memorial Day, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of liberty. For almost a century, nothing has ever stopped Americans and Belgians from gathering at today’s more than 20 ceremonies large and small over the course of Memorial Day weekend. And nor will COVID-19.
To continue this tradition of Memorial Day remembrance in Belgium, this year a single public ceremony will take place online, as a live and unique experience that allows you and people all over the world to attend and honor America’s fallen, together. The ceremony can be easily viewed on your mobile phone or computer.

So, instead of gathering this year at the three military and other cemeteries and monuments in Belgium, we invite you here to:
• Experience the ceremony as it unfolds
• Lay virtual flowers
• Invite friends and family in Belgium or around the world to experience the ceremony together with you in a virtual seating area as you share memories and reflect on this year’s special event. This feature is accessible on computers only.
