Second Tuesday Historic Bar Tour: Zoom Beer House
Rue de la Concorde 59, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
For November, let’s “Zoom” into the Second Tuesday Historic Bar Tour in the Avenue Louise area of Brussels. While the bar is not very “historic”, it is unique in that it is situated in a hotel and its motif is photography, thus the name “Zoom Beer House.” The bar is located in the Zoom Hotel and carries over 50 Belgian beers and a variety of other cocktails and wine. If you are hungry, there is a menu as well. Their website states that their business is “called Zoom because photography is the presiding theme. You don’t have to be a photographer to appreciate the advantages of this innovative, friendly and well-priced boutique hotel to the south of the city centre, but there may well be enough on the walls here to inspire you to become one.” The interior is described as “modern, arty, engaging and intriguing, drawing guests into the concept with participatory photography projects and exhibits, a collection of historic cameras, and quirky features such as cinema seats, and a police motorbike in the lobby that you can photograph yourself on.”
The Historic Beer Bar Tour events are held the second Tuesday of each month and take place at different and possibly, historic locations throughout the city of Brussels. Everyone is welcome and feel free to bring friends!
