Guided Visit of the « Intimate Audrey » Exhibition
Sunday, July 14, 2019 - 2:45 p.m.
Join us on Sunday, July 14th for a guided tour of the “Intimate Audrey” exhibition.
From personal pictures and dresses to film props and awards, the exhibition offers an intimate look at the life of the late actress Audrey Hepburn on the anniversary of her birth 90 years ago in Ixelles. She moved to London for ballet training and eventually turned to acting, taking the stage in New York in 1951 in the Broadway play “Gigi.”
Put together by her son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer, the exhibition features hundreds of private and professional photos, as well as some movie memorabilia, such as the scooter used in the 1953 classic, “Roman Holiday,” for which Hepburn won a best actress award. Hepburn Ferrer said he wanted to offer a more personal perspective of the life of the actress, who dedicated her later years to charity work and became a UNICEF goodwill ambassador. He said “It is an unusual exhibition because it has been completely devoid of the Hollywood aspect of her career so it’s the woman who is coming home, naked of the legend, of the icon.”
Please note that this event is limited to 20 participants.
