BOZAR has the good fortune to welcome two of the finest orchestras from across the Atlantic this season. The Cleveland Orchestra, one of the prestigious Big Five, comes to us at the start of the season with the Austrian conductor Franz Welser-Möst. You will have a chance to appreciate the Cleveland's rich sound in works by Messiaen and in Richard Strauss's prophetic Also sprach Zarathustra – a work whose opening bars are inevitably associated with Kubrick's magnificent 2001: A Space Odyssey.
