If you have not read the book, if do not have a book you wish to present, or if you are able to come just at the last minute, please join us anyway.

February 11 – presented by Laura Richard

Station Eleven
by Emily St John Mandel (Canada)

One snowy night, a famous Hollywood actor slumps over and dies onstage during a production of King Lear.
Hours later, the world as we know it begins to dissolve.

This is an audacious, darkly glittering novel about art, fame and ambition set in the eerie days of civilization collapse, from the author of three highly acclaimed previous novels.

ATTENTION – Change of venue!
The reading group will be hosted at Geneviève’s place in Auderghem: avenue des Nénuphars 11 - ground floor - phone 02/660.57.65.

March 11– presented by Ene Kannel

In One Person
by John Irving (U.S.A.)

The book is about a young bisexual man who falls in love with an older transgender woman – Miss Frost, the librarian in a Vermont public library.

The bi guy is the main character, but two transgender women are the heroes of this novel – in the sense that these two characters are the ones the bisexual narrator, Billy Abbott, most looks up to.

Venue: "Cook & Book",  Place du Temps Libre 1, near Woluwe Shopping Center (WiFi available), 1200 Brussels (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert). Tel. 02/761.26.00.

Your suggestions for April and May are welcome.
