ACB Spotlight:

Marquisa S. Nash, Founder of The HR Savant

What brought you to Brussels?

I first came to Brussels through my corporate career with BASF, where I currently serve as Head of Global Talent Management & Mobility for the Performance Materials Division. The role brought me to Europe to lead global people and talent strategies that elevate leadership capability, strengthen collaboration, and shape culture across regions to drive organizational performance and sustainable growth. Over time, Brussels has become both a professional and personal home — an ideal base for connecting global leadership with local impact.

Why did you start your business here?

I founded The HR Savant in the United States, and expanding the practice to Brussels was a natural evolution of my work and purpose. After more than 20 years of HR leadership in global organizations, I wanted to build a platform that helps leaders navigate transformation in a structured yet human way. My vision was to bring the art and science of executive-level coaching to a broader range of leaders and organizations committed to growth, purpose, and performance.

While The HR Savant operates as a boutique, high-touch practice, I also believe in giving back — dedicating part of my work to pro bono coaching and community-based leadership initiatives that expand access to meaningful development.

Tell us about your business and what you offer.

The HR Savant is a boutique executive and leadership coaching practice rooted in Leadership Transformation and Organizational Growth — delivering strategic solutions through the art and science of executive and leadership coaching. I specialize in five key areas that drive measurable leadership impact:

  • Executive Transition Coaching – Supporting leaders through new roles, career moves, and global mobility assignments.
  • Executive & Leadership Coaching – Strengthening presence, performance, and decision-making for senior leaders.
  • Team Coaching & Facilitation – Building alignment, resilience, and collaboration within leadership teams.
  • Succession & Leadership Coaching – Preparing leaders to mentor successors and sustain leadership pipelines.
  • Career & Mobility Coaching – Supporting talent through expatriation, cross-border roles, and high-stakes career pivots.

You also serve as a Global Ambassador for RAMP Talent. Tell us more.

RAMP Talent is a U.S.-based recruiting and talent management firm that combines human expertise with technology to master the recruitment lifecycle. As a Global Ambassador, I champion innovative recruiting strategies that combine human expertise and technology to help organizations build diverse, high-performing teams.

How are you engaged in the Brussels professional community?

I hold active membership in AmCham Belgium (Human Capital & Talent Committee), European Women on Boards, Executives’ Global Network, BECI, and ICF Belgium. Brussels has a uniquely collaborative ecosystem, and I value contributing to its leadership dialogue while learning from others shaping the future of work here.

What I value most about Brussels is its international network and sense of connection — a place where professionals from all backgrounds come together to exchange ideas and shape the future of business. Outside of work, I have come to appreciate Brussels for its cultural diversity, global perspective, and sense of community — the perfect environment to call home while continuing to build a global career.
