Each month, we navigate through the paths of our great city to uncover a hidden restaurant gem that we can’t wait to share with you.  Culinary delights and libations in hand, we enjoy meeting fellow members and welcoming all guests for a convivial evening together.  To top it all off, we have the great opportunity to Meet the Chef, who will come out to our table and share their story.  Whether new to Brussels – or like all of us at ACB, always new to (re)discovering Brussels, we invite you to join us!

“I Trulli”


“I Trulli” , Rue Jourdan 18, 1060 Saint-Gilles

I Trulli is an Italian restaurant situated among a row of fine eateries on Rue Jourdan just off of Brussels's prestigious Avenue Louise.  The restaurant whose name pays homage to the unique form of houses typical of the Puglia region of Southern Italy was opened 32 years ago.  A native of Puglia, Chef and Owner Pierino Pace arrived in Belgium in 1969.  After working in several restaurants in a number of capacities, he decided to open his own establishment and “I Trulli” was born.  Today it is among the top rated restaurants of Saint-Gilles and among the best Italian restaurants in Brussels.  Situated in the pedestrian area of Rue Jourdan it offers both an inviting front terrace in good weather, a comfortable pizzeria upon entering, and an elegant dining area in the back.  The dining area’s “art nouveau” style with beautiful painted glass, black and white photos of Pierino’s dear home region, spacious tables and warm lighting offer a delightful experience to intimate couples and large groups alike.  The diner can expect the delights of Italian cuisine from Puglia and beyond, a wide variety of seafood, poultry and meats, both traditional and more modern Italian dishes from antipasti to pasta, main courses and dessert.  And, of course, a selection of excellent Italian wines!

 Included in the price will be a starter, main dish and dessert along with a coffee & glass of wine – and a welcome drink of Prosecco.

Bicchiere di Prosecco (Glass of Prosecco)

Antipasto (Starter):  carpaccio di polipo (fresh octopus) or la buratta (soft cheese with spices & olive oil)
Primo (First course):  tagliatelle ai funghi e tartufo (tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and truffles)
Secondo (Second course):  Orata con una crema di cozze o scaloppine alle melanzane (Choice of Sea Bream with cream of mussels or Veal Cutlet with eggplant). 
Dolce (Dessert):  la cassata (Sicilian ricotta cheese cake).
Mezza bottiglia d’acqua a persona, bicchiere di vino rosso o bianco e caffè (Half bottle of water per person, a glass of white or red wine, and coffee).

  • Price: €65 for non-members. ACB/AWCB/CCB members receive a discounted price of €60. 
  • Reservations are due by October 15, noon. Cancellations are possible until noon on October 10. Participants canceling after this time, as well as no-shows, are charged the full cost of the event.
