A Walking Tour of Leuven
Saturday, June 15, 2019 - 2:15 p.m.
Join us on Saturday, June 15 for a very special and unusual walking tour entitled “Tall Tales of Leuven.”
Is there a Viking cemetery under the Old Market Square?
Where is the belfry of Leuven?
What is a Leuven marriage?
How did the City Hall miraculously escape destruction during the two World Wars?
Honesty is the best policy, they say. But is that always true? During this tour, you'll find out that an occasional little white lie doesn't hurt anyone.
The guide tells a bunch of stories about the beautiful city of Leuven: the one more unbelievable than the other. Some of them are so incredible that you hardly believe them.
At the start, the guide gives away that not everything will be truthful. There are some lies that have found their way into the stories. So you better pay attention!
After a tour of two hours, we'll have a short quiz while enjoying a drink in a cosy café. What was true and what wasn't? It's up to you to expose the lies the guide has been telling. And that always leads to some fun revelations!
Please note that this event is limited to 20 participants.
