Independence Day Picnic
Sunday June 30 - 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
This year’s joint ACB/AWCB Independence Day celebration takes place on Sunday, June 30 at the American Women’s Club of Brussels’ clubhouse at Avenue des Erables 1, 1640 Rhode St.-Genèse from noon to 4 p.m. The doors open at noon with a patriotic ceremony at 12:30, food is available from 1 to 3 p.m., and games for children will be at the top of the hour starting at 2 p.m.
It will be a family-style picnic with hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, potluck salads, assorted side dishes, and desserts for purchase on the day. All net proceeds will be donated to the American Overseas Memorial Day Association (www.aomda.org).
Volunteers are needed to help with the picnic: organizing the children’s games, working at the barbecue and behind the bar, as well as helping with the set-up and clean-up, and by bringing a side dish. Please note that the ACB is responsible for bringing the side dishes and salads and the AWCB is in charge of desserts. So, please help us out by bringing a side dish or salad.

Registration: There is no entry fee, but please reserve with the ACB (link below) by noon on Wednesday June 19.
