After the Meltdown
Lecture on the Global Economic Crisis
The ACB, together with the Fulbright Alumni Association in Belgium, is pleased to invite you to a special lecture on the financial crisis by Dr. Marc De Vos, a professor of law at Ghent University and general director of the Itinera Institute (www.itinerainstitute.org), a non-partisan policy think tank in Brussels. Professor De Vos will present his new book, After the Meltdown: The Future of Capitalism and Globalization in the Age of the Twin Crises. He will share with us his views on the long-term consequences of the subprime crisis and the global recession and will present an agenda for better markets and smarter governments. Time will be reserved for Q & A after the presentation.
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at 7 pm in the James Ensor Room of the KBC, Havenlaan 16 Avenue du Port, 1080 Brussels. The lecture and Q & A session will be followed by a reception. Parking is available at the bank: entrance on rue Ulensstraat.
Cost: € 5 for members and non-members. Reservations are due by noon on Friday, March 19th. Be sure to mention “After the Meltdown” in the communications section of the bank transfer form. Note that cancelations are possible until close of business on Friday, March 19th. Members cancelling after this time, as well as no-shows, will be charged the full cost of the event.
