Individual Member Benefits

As a member of the American club of Brussels you are entitled to a number of unique benefits:

• Participate in all Club events at Club prices.
   
• Each individual receives a copy of the monthly newsletter, member directory and all club publications.
   
• A ready-made social circle for newcomers to Brussels with events every month.
   
• Special opportunities for members to volunteer, suggest, and organize specific Club activities that appeal to your circle of friends in the Club, such as bridge, snooker, squash, tennis, golf and bowling.
   
• Day trips and overnight visits to interesting towns and villages in the surrounding areas.
   
• Membership Benefits Package

A new and exciting package of benefits, announced by the Board in March 2010, for all members of the ACB, both current and new. The package includes:

• A free, two-month subscription to The Bulletin and Brussels Unlimited;
• A free account for one year at the KBC;
• A free, one-hour consultation on U.S. tax matters with Deloitte;
• The ISB Advantage Card that provides discounts at a large number of shops, restaurants, and services in the Brussels area. Visit www.isb.be/advantage for complete information on the card.

In the email, please give us your mailing, i.e., postal address, since the ISB Advantage Card can only be sent by regular mail, not email.

Individual Membership Description

There are several classes of membership for individuals. For all classes of individual membership, the annual dues include spouse, partner and children, it is a family membership.

• Youth (under 35): 70 EUR per year.
  6-month membership = 40 EUR (*)
  

• Students: 40 EUR per year.
• Students at Boston University and Fulbright scholars: 30 EUR per year.

• Individual: 140 EUR per year.
  6-month membership = 80 EUR (*)
  

• Retiree: 70 EUR per year.

• Non-Resident: 70 EUR per year.

Individual membership is conferred only to individuals, not companies, organizations or groups. Individual membership goes to a specific, named person, and may not be transferred to others, even for event eligibility. Membership applications are approved at the monthly meeting of the Board of Governors. Memberships are automatically renewable for a period of one year on January 1st of each year.
