To learn how a group of Belgian businessmen and Herbert Hoover, an American businessman living in London (later President of the USA) partnered to ship six million tons of food from America to Belgium from 1914 until the end of the war, join us for a memorable dinner on October 13 as of 7:00 p.m.

Open Position with the American Club of Brussels

CLUB ADMINISTRATOR

The ACB is an international social club in Belgium with an American heart, founded in 1921. The administrator role is a vital one in ensuring its continued smooth running.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will work closely with the Club President and Treasurer, in particular, in addition to frequent interaction with the Club Board Members. You will handle a range of enquiries from members and non-members, assist in publicizing the Club's many events and manage the "back office" systems. You will be key to ensuring that things get done, and done right!

To be successful in the role, you will need to be someone who can work independently and flexibly, with strong coordination and communication skills. You will be able to work in different back office admin systems and conduct basic bookkeeping activities.

The working language within the Club is English, but fluency in French and/ or Dutch will be an advantage.
The role is on a contractor (freelancer) basis, starting in January 2018. Tasks require frequent/ daily attention; estimated time spent per week is 8-12 hours on average. It can fit easily with a flexible, home-working schedule, only requiring availability for Board meetings (in Brussels) on the first Monday of each month.
